J. Chris Treat
Chris Treat joined the leadership team of Assured Trust Company as President & Chief Operating Officer in June 2024. Chris brings over 20 years of experience in fiduciary operations and asset management to Assured Trust.
During his career, Chris served as Trust Division President for Citizens Bank in Arkansas. He also served as Director of Sales and Trust Department Manager for First Community Bank, of Arkansas and Missouri. His leadership and strategic vision have been instrumental in assisting hundreds of families seeking prudent trust and wealth management over the past 17 years.
Chris also spent 14 collective years as a licensed Financial Advisor with Waddell & Reed, SWBC Investment Services, Investment Centers of America, and LPL Financial, where he honed his skills in client advisory and personal financial planning. Chris conducted his graduate studies at Creighton University in pursuit of a Master of Finance with a concentration in Investment Portfolio Analysis. He completed his baccalaureate studies at Lyon College. Additionally, Chris further specialized in corporate trust and unique asset administration through Cannon Financial.
While in undergraduate school, Chris spent several years assisting elderly and special needs adults as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Laboratory Technician at hospitals and nursing and rehab facilities operated by White River Health Systems in Arkansas. In addition to his extensive professional experience, Chris holds financial certifications, including the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA), Certified Corporate Trust Specialist (CCTS), and Certified Corporate Trust Professional (CCTP). These credentials underscore his expertise and deep commitment to excellence in the field of trust administration and fiduciary financial services.
Chris spends his spare time contributing to philanthropic campaigns for civic and religious organizations. He is an appointed member of the U.S. Selective Service Review Board and has previously served on non-profit boards. On several occasions, he has been invited to speak or instruct at high schools, universities, Boy Scouts of America, and the Arkansas Bankers Association. He, his wife of twenty-three years, and their three children enjoy traveling and exploring the outdoors with their “camp kitty,” JiJi.
